The Haunting
La Posada de Santa Fe is an active historic resort built around the Staab House, an 1882 French Second Empire mansion. Its best-known ghost story is Julia Staab, whose apparition, moved objects, and room-specific encounters are part of the hotel's long-running reputation.
Abraham Staab built the three-story mansion in 1882 for his wife Julia. The Staab House now functions as part of La Posada de Santa Fe, with the old mansion incorporated into a six-acre downtown resort and its bar/restaurant spaces.
