The Haunting

Log Cabin Village is Fort Worth's living history museum of mid-to-late 19th-century Texas cabins. Its haunting is gentle but recurring: perfume scents in cabins or the church, an apparition of a hanged man, and visitors wondering whether the smell is paranormal or simply part of the interpreted historic environment.

The Village began as a 1950s preservation project by the Pioneer Texas Heritage Committee and Tarrant County Historical Society. Six mid-1800s log houses were moved to the site and restored, the Village opened to the public in 1966, and later additions expanded the museum's frontier-life interpretation.

Reported activity: The HauntedPlaces account reports perfume smells and a hanged-man apparition. Comments are modest and mostly corroborate perfume-like scents, while one visitor explicitly wonders whether the smell could come from staff or the interpreted setting rather than a ghost.
