The Haunting

Mallard Lodge at Delta Marsh is a 1932 Manitoba hunting lodge turned research-field-station landmark. Its haunting centers on a foundation-accident legend, a groundskeeper spirit, footsteps, a self-ringing bell, and lights switching on and off.

Donald H. Bain built Mallard Lodge in 1932 as a Delta Marsh country getaway. In 1966 it became the base of the University of Manitoba's Delta Marsh Field Station, which closed permanently in 2011 after flood damage and other pressures.

Reported activity: The HauntedPlaces account repeats the sealed-in-worker legend, but that construction-death detail needs verification. The only visible commenter said they stayed at Mallard Lodge several times and found the basement creepy but never experienced anything supernatural.
