Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park
Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park is a sacred Hawaiian place of refuge and royal-ground landscape on the Kona coast of Hawaiʻi Island. Its haunted reputation should be handled with unusual care: the site is culturally sacred, and any supernatural framing needs to sit behind the National Park Service history of kapu, refuge, Hale o Keawe, and the Great Wall.
